Joe graduated from the University of Puerto Rico (Mayagüez) with a BS in Electrical Engineering, Power Option, and an MBA from InterAmerican University in San Juan. His career began as a project engineer for FLUOR-DANIEL, a major international construction company, building pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech manufacturing facilities.
He subsequently held engineering and project management positions with BAXTER-TRAVENOL and WARNER-LAMBERT, ultimately rising to the position of Director of Engineering. Thereafter, as General Manager, he started-up the branch office of a stateside project and construction-management firm, ultimately growing to 100 employees, and providing services for biopharmaceutical and medical-device-manufacturing projects. As entrepreneur and Principal, Joe successfully operated a professional practice, providing project controls and construction management services.
In 2012, Joe joined the Yarotek team as Regional Manager, to manage the development, engineering, and construction of utility-scale and distributed-generation renewable-energy projects. Joe is well traveled coming from a military family, and during his professional career. He is fluent in English and Spanish, with a working knowledge of French, and also holds licenses as real-estate broker and real-estate appraiser.
