Description

BDC Solar PV System (“BDCS”) is a distributed generator connected to the Utility grid under a Net-Metering Agreement with the client, at the facilities of Becton-Dickinson Caribe, Inc. in Cayey, Puerto Rico.  The client is a major manufacturer of medical devices, instrument systems, and reagents.  The system has a capacity of 499 kWac (640.19 kWp), generated by 1909 polycrystalline solar panels by Jinko and monocrystalline panels by ZNShine Solar, serving a dual function as the roof of a structural steel carport – constructed at an existing employee-parking area.  It is provided with eighteen (18) SMA inverters.  The system was commissioned and has been operational as of May 2021.
